Inner City SDC: Outage Update 
Date: 30 April 2026 

Fort Substation, Edith Carvell Distributor: A team of contractors has been appointed to assist with conducting repairs. However, due to the ongoing strike in Hillbrow the team will only be able to conduct repairs tomorrow. 

The unplanned power disruption was reported on Tuesday, 28 April, due to multiple cable faults, and it affects customers in Hillbrow. 

The estimated time of restoration will be communicated once repairs have commenced.
