*Halfway House Extension 41 Switching Station:* The team has now exposed the fourth fault, and repairs are currently in progress. This is affecting customers on Old Pretoria Road in Halfway House. 

Unfortunately we do not have an estimated time of restoration (ETR) at this current moment. Affected customers will be updated as and when new information becomes available.

*New Road Substation:* We have managed to restore approximately 88% of the power supply to customers in Halfway Gardens. The remaining 12% is affected by a faulty local transformer. Repairs are currently underway. 

The estimated time for full restoration (ETR) is not yet known.

RUIMSIG SWITCHING STATION (Wilgeheuwel, Ruimsig, Honeydew Manor & Radiokop) Update
City Power apologises to customers in Wilgeheuwel, Ruimsig, Honeydew Manor and Radiokop for the delay in restoring electricity supply following the outage linked to a first pot cable fault, compounded by pre-existing network faults in the area.
A team is en route and will be on site shortly to begin repairs on the identified cable faults. Once repairs are completed, system operators will conduct the necessary testing and safety checks to ensure network stability before restoring supply.
If all goes according to plan and no additional faults are detected, restoration is anticipated later this evening.
City Power understands the inconvenience caused and appreciates customers’ continued patience while teams work to safely restore power.

EMERGENCY ISOLATION 
PANORAMA SWITCHING STATION 

City Power sincerely apologises to customers in Panorama, Allen’s Nek and Weltevredenpark for the short notice regarding the total isolation of the Panorama Switching Station. This emergency measure was unavoidable and implemented to ensure the safety of the network and our personnel.

The isolation follows a flash incident at the station, which resulted in carbon deposits spreading into the adjacent busbar. A thorough and highly technical clean-up operation is currently underway to remove the contamination and prevent further risk to the system.

At this stage, no estimated restoration time can be confirmed. The extent of the damage must first be fully assessed, and the clean-up completed, before detailed investigations and necessary repairs can proceed.

We acknowledge the significant inconvenience this outage has caused and urge customers to remain patient during this time. ^ZD

An emergency isolation of Panorama Switching Station is underway affecting Panorama, Allen’s Nek and Weltevredenpark due to a flash incident, with a clean-up operation in progress and no estimated restoration time confirmed.

*Houghton Estate:* A mini-substation (MSS) has been vandalised beyond repair, resulting in a power outage affecting customers in Houghton Estate, including 4th Street, 9th Avenue, 10th Avenue and surrounding areas.

The damaged mss will need to be replaced. The estimated time of restoration will be communicated once the team has successfully sourced the replacement unit. 

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to electricity infrastructure to City Power’s Security Risk Management Department.
